Density plots comparing Phosphoros photometric redshifts for Q1 sources with spectroscopic redshifts available in public surveys. Sources are separated according to the ground-based observations (in the northern and southern sky), and for the range of magnitude, I_E < 23 and 23 ≤ I_E < 24.5. The number of sources with available spectroscopic redshift in the EDF-N sharply drops at z_spec ≃ 1.6, especially for faint objects, as an effect of the redshift range covered by DESI for galaxies (see DESI Collaboration 2024).
