Table 1

Standard deviations obtained using the Fisher information method for asteroid 4179 Toutatis and comparison with observations.

Standard deviations Observations This work
σx [au] 4.13 × 10−9 7.65 × 10−5
σy [au] 9.25 × 10−9 6.59 × 10−5
σz [au] 3.05 × 10−9 1.54 × 10−5
σvx [km/s] 2.27 × 10−7 3.13 × 10−3
σvy [km/s] 3.27 × 10−7 2.56 × 10−3
σvz [km/s] 8.96 × 10−8 1.11 × 10−3
σmMathematical equation: $\[\sigma_{m}^{*}\]$ [%] 4.55 × 10−3

Notes. The standard deviations for the observations were collected from the ESA NEOCC website at epoch 61 200 mjd. The mass standard deviation, σmMathematical equation: $\[\sigma_{m}^{*}\]$, corresponds to the normalized version σmMathematical equation: $\[\sigma_{m}^{*}\]$ = σm/m by the mass m of asteroid 4179 Toutatis.
