Blocks from left to right describe the three main steps of the simulation: 1) The creation of the mock truth catalog which includes AGNs, galaxies and stars; 2) the creation of the instance catalogs obtained from the truth catalog by including variability information for AGNs and stars; 3) the creation of LSST single-visit images according to the LSST survey strategy, the reduction, and coaddition performed using the LSST Science Pipelines.
