Position of the planet signal with respect to the masked telluric regions in the individual nights. Shown is the final stage of the data analysis with a CO2 planet signal injected at 200 times the strength expected for GJ 1214 b. The masked regions were set to zero (shown in yellow), to allow visualisation of the amount of planet signal falling into the masked regions. Results are shown on the example of the third wavelength segment (2002.0-2014.6 nm), with strong CO2 absorption. This is the same as is displayed in the bottom panel of Fig. 2 for night 5.
