Behaviour of the cross-correlation peak for two models for the CO2 signal in the real data in a 10 km s−1 window around the expected planet signal (solid lines), for the injected template model (dashed lines) and for spurious peaks in the Kp - v map outside of the vicinity of the expected planetary signal (dotted lines). Both models are calculated for a metallicity of [M/H]=1.5; in blue we show the results for a model without clouds and in orange for a model with very high clouds at log10(Pc) = −5.5. The stars indicate the position at which the signal was measured with the highest S/N.
