PKS 2014-55: An X-shaped (double-boomerang) radio galaxy with multiple epochs of jet emergence (jets from all epochs align at ∼40° to the major axis of the host galaxy; Cotton et al. 2020). The blue contours are from the R-band DES observation (concentric ellipses at the center) and represent the galaxy isophotes, while the purple contours are for radio emission from the L-band MeerKAT observations and illustrate the phases of jet activity with a “double-boomerang” shape extending outward (see Giri et al. 2024). The renewed jet ejection near the center is indicated by the concentration of purple contours.
