Sky image of Sgr A* from the XMM-Newton observation on August 31, 2019. The source extraction region is a circular aperture of radius 10″ centred on the very long-based interferometry radio position of Sgr A*. The background is extracted from an annulus with inner and outer radii of 175″ and 200″, respectively.
