Donor mass distribution of the present-day CVs when their WD ages reached 2, 2.5, and 3 Gyr illustrating at which donor mass a strong magnetic field could have appeared. The peak of the distributions is at 0.076, 0.045, and 0.033 M for age limits of 2, 2.5, and 3 Gyr respectively. For 35%, 69%, and 81% of the present-day period bouncers the magnetic field appeared at donor masses ≤ 0.08 M, that is, after or around the period minimum.
