Stellar iron mass as a function of the total mass for the MAGNETICUM sample. We report two estimates of the iron mass in the stellar component, computed by directly summing up the iron content of all stellar particles within R500 (blue asterisks) and according to Eq. (2) (cyan triangles). For comparison, we report the X-COP observational data by Ghizzardi et al. (2021).
