Clockwise starting in the upper left panel: HST F160W image including the galaxy 31680 in the north-west corner of the image and three other galaxies with fainter [OII], with overplotted [OII] EL map; spatially resolved [OII] EL map; spatially resolved [OII] velocity dispersion map; spatially resolved [OII] velocity map. The white background corresponds to spaxels with S/N[OII] < 5. From ALMA, galaxy 31680 has a derived molecular gas mass of M⊙ (Hayashi et al. 2018). Two other galaxies in the figure have lower ALMA molecular gas mass measurements of (2.7 ± 0.6)×1010M⊙ and (5.8 ± 0.6)×1010M⊙, but they are not detected in [OII] in the individual spaxels above the S/N cut limit.
