Cumulative number counts for the 4XMM-DES-VHS catalogue are presented with the orange shaded area highlighting the 1σ error in the soft 0.5–2 keV band. For reference, we compared with the number counts derived by Mateos et al. (2008), LaMassa et al. (2016), Luo et al. (2017), Chiappetti et al. (2018) and Pouliasis et al. (2022a).
