Notes. Evolutions of the fastest PIs for different initial amplitudes of the MRI modes and the parasitic velocities. We depict, from left to right: the initial MRI magnetic field, B0; the initial parasitic velocity, v0; the shear parameter, q; the modulus and angle with respect to the radial direction of the initial wavevector, k h ini $ k_{\mathrm{h}}^{\mathrm{ini}} $, that leads to saturation; its modulus and angle at saturation; the saturation time, and the amplification factor. The runs are labeled so that vl, l, m, h, vh after b0 (MRI amplitude) and d (parasitic amplitude) stand for “very low,” “low,” “mid,” “high” and “very high,” respectively.
