Analytical limits of different plasma instabilities generated by an electron temperature anisotropy; in particular, the electron mirror instability (Gary & Karimabadi 2006) (γ/ω_ce = 0.001), the whistler instability (Gary & Karimabadi 2006) (γ/ω_ce = 0.001), and the parallel and oblique fire-hose instability (Gary & Nishimura 2003) (γ/ω_ce = 0.01).
