Structural evolution of the galaxies in our sample. We show the median stellar half-mass radius, r_1/2, as a function of time on the left and the vertical stellar velocity dispersion measured at r_1/2 as a function of time on the right. The disc-dominated objects are more extended at all times compared to the spheroid sample. The velocity dispersions of the subsamples show similar values before 10 Gyr ago, but they appear to have settled relatively quickly into their final present-day values around 8 − 9 Gyr ago, showing little evolution afterwards.
