Observed (black filled circles) and synthesised (red line) spectral lines of the newly identified 4f³(²H2°)5d ³F°₄ level in spectra of HD 170973 and HD 144893 with surface magnetic fields 〈B_s〉<1 kG and 〈B_s〉=8.8 kG, respectively, showing two newly classified, previously unknown transitions of Nd III: 4f^{4 5}F₅–4f³(²H2°)5d ³F°4 within 4642.6–4643.4 Å and 4f^{4 3}H45–4f³(²H2°)5d ³F°4 within 5516.9–5517.7 Å. Wavelengths are given as air values.
