Notes. The table summarises the temperature of the plasma local to the Solar System (kTsol); the temperatures of the interstellar plasma in ON and OFF regions (kTON and kTOFF, respectively); the neutral hydrogen column density for ON and OFF regions (nH, ON and nH, OFF, respectively); and the limit on the flux at 1 keV of an extended source centred on the HESS J1702-420A position and characterised by the dN/dE ∝ E−2 spectrum. The flux limit corresponds to the 2σ (∼95% c.l.) statistical limit. The RON and ROFF columns indicate the radius of the ON region and the outer radius of the OFF region, respectively. The ‘Syst’ column indicates the considered level of systematics and the χ2/ndf column shows the best-fit χ2 value and the corresponding number of degrees of freedom.
