Evolution of ∇[Fe/H](τ) over time for each galaxy with a linear gradient ([Fe/H]–Rbirth correlation below -0.85) for at least the most recent 4 Gyr of star formation. We find that nearly all galaxies show a weakening in their [Fe/H] gradients over time. About 20 galaxies show a steepening in their metallicity gradient at older ages before flattening, consistent with what is now predicted for the Milky Way.
