The variable q is a mass variable defined as q = 1 − Mint/MWD, where Mint is the interior mass (q = 0 denotes the outermost envelope layers – i.e. WD surface). The profiles for models 080COSHIVA, 080COcarb are plotted in panel (a) and the ones for models 125COSHIVA and 125COcarb are plotted in panel (b).
