Stokes I and Q/I profiles of the emergent Mg II k line radiation calculated in the FAL-C model atmosphere for various cosines (μ) of the heliocentric angle, from 0.1 to 1. The Stokes I and Q profiles were used to obtain the illumination of the boundaries of the 3D prominence model.
