Slices of the gas density in combination with a line integral convolution of the magnetic field in an edge-on collision of two disk galaxies (Sim. No. 3 in Table 2). The first three panels show stages around the first encounter (t = 762.5 Myr). At the end of the simulation (t = 2.5 Gyr), the two galaxies have merged.
