Growth rate of the GR instability versus stellar mass for each model. The negative part of the vertical axis corresponds to the angular frequency of the stable fundamental pulsation mode. The horizontal dashed line indicates the boundary between stable and unstable regions. A steep increase in the growth rate indicates that a strong GR instability occurs as soon as the mass exceeds the critical mass, depending on the accretion rate.
