Table A.1.
Kinematic parameters
Population | Relative density | Scale-height | Scale-length | < U> | < V> | < W> | σU | σV | σW |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
(kpc) | (kpc) | (km s−1) | (km s−1) | (km s−1) | (km s−1) | (km s−1) | (km s−1) | ||
Thin disc | 0.9 | 0.3 | 2.6 | 0 | 236 | 0 | 39 | 20 | 20 |
Thick disc | 0.08 | 0.9 | 2.0 | 0 | 206 | 0 | 63 | 39 | 39 |
Halo | 0.02 | – | – | 0 | 0 | 0 | 141 | 106 | 94 |
Notes. We assumed that the thin and thick discs follow Gaussian velocity distributions, with means and standard deviations from Soubiran et al. (2003), and a halo component with velocity dispersion following Chiba & Beers (2000). We used the density fractions of Ramírez et al. (2013), and the scale-heights, scale-lengths, and halo power law are based on Bland-Hawthorn & Gerhard (2016).
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
