The left image displays the vector magnetic field in the spherical coordination system (total magnetic field strength, B_tot, inclination, γ, and azimuth, ψ). Inclination values were clipped at 90°; their maximum is 99°. The right image displays the vector magnetic field in the Cartesian coordination system (B_x, B_y, B_z). The vector stratification comprises of the Ca I 10 839 Å and Si I 10 827 Å for the photosphere and He I 10 830 Å for the chromosphere. The black contours represent the umbra-penumbral and the penumbra-quiet Sun boundaries.
