Table 3.

Mean fitted SBF N ¯ fit $ \langle \bar{N}_{\mathrm{fit}} \rangle $ and upper 90% percentile of the relative error (εrel, 90%), applying different offsets (±3% and ±9%) to Galmean, NSky, and σPSF with respect to the reference case of Fig. 4.

N ¯ fit $ \langle \bar{N}_{\mathrm{fit}} \rangle $ [counts] εrel, 90% [%]
χoffset Galmean NSky σPSF Galmean NSky σPSF
0% 22.53 2.88
−3% 24.98 29.87 21.95 12.9 35.3 4.8
+3% 23.5 29.66 23.63 5.9 33.9 7.2
−9% 40.72 87.23 20.52 82.9 291.4 11.1
+9% 33.81 86.33 24.87 51.8 286.4 12.4

Notes. The reference case has an input SBF of N ¯ ref = 22.59 $ \bar{N}_{\mathrm{ref}}=22.59 $ and, after performing 50 simulations, its fitting returned: N ¯ fit = 22.53 $ \langle \bar{N}_{\mathrm{fit}} \rangle=22.53 $ counts and εrel, 90% = 2.88%.
