Difference between the flux (Eq. (2)) of a 1D solid sphere (batman) and the flux of a 3D simulation of an ultra-hot Jupiter (Pytmosph3R) without rotation (i.e., N𝒯 = 1). The ultra-hot Jupiter is WASP-121b (Fig. 4). The x axis shows the wavelength; the y axis shows the transit phase.
