Total metallicity [M/H]tot in the ISM of QSO-DLAs from the golden sample. Large purple diamonds are the values derived from solely α-elements (this work, the basic result). Small green triangles show the values derived from fitting the iron-group elements + Zn. Small orange crosses and small blue stars are the determinations given by De Cia et al. (2016, 2018), respectively.
