Difference between the PM of individual stars in our catalog versus Gaia DR3, in latitude (top) and longitude (bottom). These maps are based on the stars in common between VVV and Gaia, which are also the ones used for the astrometric calibration, i.e., the stars in the foreground disk blue plume. These maps are meant to show that our procedure to calibrate the VVV PMs on the astrometric system of Gaia DR3 is correct, and does not introduce spurious patterns across the region analyzed here.
