Spectra used to model the upper atmosphere of GJ 1214 b. The violet line is the scaled solar spectrum, while the blue line is the MUSCLES spectrum for GJ 1214 scaled to the same values of LX, LEUV, and Lbol adopted by Salz et al. (2016a). The flux is scaled to the planetary orbit.
