Sample distribution in the parameter space of the stellar mass, SFR, and emission line half-light radius, colour-coded by redshift. We compare this with a selection of ground-based near-infrared spectroscopic surveys that used the Hα and [OIII] lines to measure galaxy kinematics at z ∼ 1 − 4 (Turner et al. 2017; Förster Schreiber et al. 2018; Wisnioski et al. 2019; Price et al. 2020). We used UV+IR SFRs from Whitaker et al. (2014) where available for the Turner et al. (2017) sample. We note that all objects at z > 1 from KMOS3D are shown in this figure, but not all objects were used in the kinematic studies because the S/N was low or the objects were too small. The sample selected from JADES (hexagons) probes a very different regime: JADES targets are at higher redshift and lower stellar mass than ground-based facilities have probed thus far.
Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.
Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
