Table 5.

Figure of merit for each model in Table 3.

−0.5 −2.5 1.9 2.1 1.6 1.1

−0.5 −3 2.4 3.0 2.1 1.4
−1 −3 1.7 2.0 1.3 0.8

Notes. fom/N corresponds to the best-fitting model, where errors in the denominator only consider the scatter in variances in the data bins. fom90/N are the upper 90% bounds of the distribution of fom/N values for different realisations of each model with its best-fitting parameters, described in Sect. 6.1. fomscatter/N and fomind/N are re-scaled versions of fom/N, incorporating also the errors in mass and REdd, first using only the scatter of these parameters within each bin (fomscatter/N) and then propagating the errors on individual measurements of both values (fomind/N), as is described in Sect. 6.2.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
