Time evolution of the radial profiles of the specific entropy s in 2.5D simulations without and with radiative diffusion. Both simulations have b = 104 and Nr = 256. The profiles are shifted such that the entropy of the convective core is 0 at t = 0. Simulation time is given as a fraction of the thermal timescale τth on the colour bar. Each curve, except for that showing the initial condition, corresponds to a time average over 0.05τth.
