One-dimensional magnification (light curve) of a star moving in a horizontal direction across the microlens shown in Fig. 8. The black and yellow curves correspond to the tracks shown in yellow and black respectively in Fig. 8. The track for the blue curve is also horizontal and is midway between the black and yellow tracks. The red curve corresponds to a track one pixel (10 nanoarcsec) above the yellow track, where the trajectory intersects both the caustic and the area of demagnification. The radial magnification from the macromodel is 3.3, and the tangential one is 250. At large distances from the microlens, the magnification converges to the macromodel value μ = 825. The small scale fluctuations are pixel noise from the simulation.
