Optical g-band mosaic from VST of the Hydra I cluster (56.7′×46.55′∼0.8 × 0.7 Mpc). North is up and East to the left. The two bright stars, close to the cluster core, where modelled and subtracted from the image, as explained in Iodice et al. (2020). The 32 new UDGs and LSB galaxies detected by Iodice et al. (2020) and La Marca et al. (2022a) are marked as blue circles. Red boxes show the LEWIS sample presented in this work and listed in Table 1.
