Images of 3C 84 system from the kiloparsec to parsec scales relevant for this study. Left: continuum map at 90 cm (Pedlar et al. 1990; angular resolution of ∼5″ ≃ 1.8 kpc) in grey contours superimposed on the map of molecular gas (Lim et al. 2008; resolution 3″ ≡ 1.1 kpc, black contours), with the X-ray image from Fabian et al. (2011) in the background. Second panel from the left: image at ∼1″ ≡ 360 pc resolution at 1380 MHz from Pedlar et al. (1990) showing the continuum structure against which the H I is seen in absorption. Last two panels on the right: were obtained using the VLBA at 330 MHz and 1.4 GHz by Silver et al. (1998) and show, in addition to the core-jet structure (right), a diffuse, extended structure (which they call mini-halo) on larger scales (∼200 pc ≡ radius).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
