Time evolution of the magnetic flux at the black hole horizon normalised to the mass flux (see Eq. (23)). Models are normalised with specific angular momentum at ISCO S = 1.0 and S = 2.0 (as labelled in the panels). The initial spin of the black hole is A0 = 0.85. The initial magnetic field is dipole, given by Eq. (19), and normalised with maximum magnetisation of σ = 1 or σ = 0.1 (left panel), or is a vertical field, given by Eq. (18), and normalised with gas-to-magnetic pressure ratio at ISCO equal to β = 50. Models are labelled in both panels with symbols referring to Table A.1.
