Metis visible-light total brightness images of the solar corona on February 22, 2021, at 19:55 UT (left panel) and 22:30 UT (right panel) in the FOV 3.1 R–5.7 R after subtraction of the minimum background image. In the right panel, a CME that started at about 20:50 UT is clearly visible above the east limb of the Sun and an arrow points out the CME’s location. The temporal evolution of the full frames of the Metis observation sequence is available as an online movie.
