H2 vs. H I asymmetry on a galaxy-by-galaxy basis at matched resolution. For Virgo galaxies, asymmetries are measured at the low-res beam sizes listed in Table 1, and for control galaxies asymmetries are measured at a common resolution of 1.4 kpc. Galaxies in different H I classes are denoted by different marker colours. The dashed line corresponds to Amod(H2) = Amod(H I).
