Light-weighted and mass-weighted j_p(≤a) profiles in four example galaxies, two FRs (top) and two SRs (bottom). For each galaxy, we show the profiles weighted by the blue-band fluxes, by the IR fluxes, by the mass-to-light ratio profile given by the colors, and by the IR fluxes corrected for IMF-driven gradients in the mass-to-light ratio. The error bar shows the error on j_p derived from the errors on the colors and the dispersion in the mass-to-light ratio versus color relations.
