Reference frame in the plane of the orbit to describe the relative motion of the planet P around the star and define the true anomaly ƒ and the relative separation of the barycenters of the star and the planet r = OP. The origin of the reference frame is at the barycenter О of the star, while the axis x0 points toward the periastron of the orbit.
