Disk-integrated spectrum of the HDO transition at 1344.9 cm−1 on Venus, recorded by TEXES on September 27, 2021 (black points). The continuum slope has been corrected to remove the telluric absorption (see Fig. 2). Models: H2O = 0.25 ppmv (green), 0.50 ppmv (red), and 0.75 ppmv (blue). The H2O vmr is inferred from the HDO vmr assuming a D/H ratio of 200 times the VSMOW. We infer from these fits a H2O vmr of 0.50 ± 0.25 ppmv. The H2O vmr inferred from the line depth ratio (see text) is 0.54 ± 0.20 ppmv.
