Cosmic evolution of BH 2, the second most massive BH at redshift ∼3.5, which reaches a mass M ∼ 108M at the end of the simulation. The BH mass M (top panel, solid line), galaxy mass M* (dashed line), the spin magnitude |a|, the cosine of the angle θ between the spin direction j and the gas angular momentum jgas, the z-components of j and jgas, and the Eddington ratio fEdd, are plotted against the cosmological redshift. Vertical red dotted lines indicate the time of a numerical BH merger, with the vertical position of the crosses showing its mass ratio 0 < q ≤ 1.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
