Execution time of the scalar, AVX-vectorised, and AVX-512-vectorised pair-counting routines based on the k-d and ball trees, with different capacities of leaf nodes, for a periodic uniform random sample. Results for both Haswell and Knights Landing CPUs are shown. Speedup is measured as the ratio of the computing time of the scalar code to that of the vectorised counterpart.
