TEM images showing the different morphologies of the produced np-Fe0 particles. Image (a) shows the Fa29-P25mJ experiment produced generally spherical shapes of np-Fe0 particles distributed in the subsolidus layer and at the bottom of the amorphous layer. Image (b) shows the Fa50-P75mJ experiment produced angular and spherical-shaped npFe0 particles dispersed in the subsolidus layer and at the bottom of the amorphous layer. Image (c) shows the Fa71-M75mJ experiment had the most angular and subangular-shaped npFe0 particles, with fewer spherical particles. Image (d) shows the Fa100-P5mJ experiment commonly produced angular-shaped np-Fe0 particles. With increasing Fa# values of the initial olivine, the produced np-Fe0 particles demonstrated a tendency from spherical to angular, and abundant angular np-Fe0 particles were observed in the experiments with Fa# ≥ 50.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
