[Zn/Fe]_fit values calculated from fitting a straight line to the depletion patterns. The x-axis has [Zn/Fe]_fit where we exclude the α-elements and Mn (NAM) in the fitting process. The y-axis has [Zn/Fe]_fit derived using all the available metals in the fit. Fitting a straight line to these two values for [Zn/Fe]_fit gives y = 0.98(±0.03)x + 0.09(±0.01). This is different from the y = x line, which implies that including or excluding the α-elements and Mn does notably affect the dust depletion factor that we calculate.
