Expected number of galaxies in the FRB localisation areas for a range of dwarf galaxy (orange) and massive galaxy (yellow) number densities as function of comoving volume. The comoving volume depends on both the redshift of the FRB and the size of the localisation region on-sky, and should be regarded as an upper limit. The horizontal line indicates where the expected number of galaxies is one.
