Flux image in the 2 − 10 keV energy band obtained from the dedicated XMM-Newton follow-up observation, in the international celestial reference system (ICRS) frame. The image is in units of 10−7 ph cm−2 s−1 per 4″ × 4″ pixel, and it has been smoothed with a σ = 7″ Gaussian filter. The TeV morphological models of HESS J1702−420A and HESS J1702−420B are overlaid.
