Impact of the incorrect orbit mirroring for a single orbit. We show a typical short-axis tube derived in the triaxial potential by den Brok et al. (2021). Columns from left to right show the orbit trajectories, the line-of-sight mean velocity V with the correct (‘bug-fix’) and incorrect mirroring (‘nofix’) and the relative error between the incorrect and correct mirroring schemes ΔV/V, the velocity dispersion σ with the correct (‘bug-fix’) and incorrect mirroring (‘nofix’) and the relative error. Rows from top to bottom refer to different inclination angles of 15°, 45° and 75°, respectively. The changes in the mean velocity and velocity dispersion are up to ∼40% in some regions of the orbit space, but they are usually ≲10% in regions where the star spends most of its life.
