Ratio of the maximum Hα emission associated with photon leakage from H II regions, assuming that all photons are reabsorbed and of the Hα value predicted by our models vs. f_esc, HII. We assumed Q(H⁰)-to-Hα conversion coefficient of 7.31 × 10¹¹ for a case B recombination with T_e = 10 000 K and n = 100 cm⁻³ from Kennicutt et al. (1995) to estimate Hα(f_esc, HII× Q(H⁰)). The Hα_pred values are computed consistently in the Cloudy models. The dashed line correspond to the analytical curve f_esc/(1 − f_esc).
