Predicted vs. measured H I masses. As discussed in Sect. 7.2.2, the predicted H I masses for the galaxies in our sample are consistent with the observed H I masses from Rémy-Ruyer et al. (2014). This agreement is at odds with the underprediction of H I column densities (see Table A.3) and is discussed in Sect. 7.
