Notes. Average values μ and corresponding standard deviations σ of the total stellar mass (in solar masses M) ever-formed and presently available , mean stellar age (in years) weighted by light ⟨log tL and mass ⟨log tM, and mean stellar metallicity (in solar units Z = 0.02) weighted by light log⟨ZL and mass log⟨ZM for the main, star-forming, intensively star-forming and passive samples, as defined in Sect. 3.1.

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.

Initial download of the metrics may take a while.
